Chaperone Policies
We require one adult per five students for grades pre-K through 8th, and one adult per 10 students for grades 9 through 12. We request that chaperones play a hands-on role in assisting with group management.
Time
Please allow enough time to make the most of your visit. Self-guided tours of the museum exhibits take 1-2 hours, and scheduled educational programs take up to one hour. Be sure to account for the time needed to eat lunch.
Lunch
While the Basalt Rock Cafe is closed, we still welcome groups to eat lunch on-site. You’re welcome to bring your own lunch, or we can cater boxed lunches for an additional fee. We will reserve a space for your group to store belongings and eat, or you can enjoy the sun at the outdoor picnic tables.
