Historic Photo Archives 

​Within our online photo archive containing over 30 thousand images, you will find a wide range of topics relevant to the Columbia River Gorge and Wasco County such as: Celilo Falls and other photos of the Columbia River before the dams like the Grande Dalles 5 Mile (Long Narrows) and Petit Dalles 10 mile (Short Narrows) rapids, images of regional Native American communities, early pioneers, the historic Columbia Gorge Scenic Highway, agriculture, riverboats, trains, and historic downtown landmarks in The Dalles and area communities from the mid-1800s through the 20th century.

 

Photo collections include the Wasco County Pioneer Association picture boards, The Dalles Chronicle and George Lindsay Collection, The Dalles Camera Club, and the Seufert Family Collections among many others.
