Located at the eastern gateway to the Columbia River Gorge, the Museum is conveniently located in the center of the Pacific Northwest. River Gallery

The dramatic 30 foot wall of windows frames breathtaking views of the Washington Hills and the Columbia River. The huge timber columns, basalt rock walls and vaulted ceiling surround you with the warm rugged elegance of the Pacific Northwest. This space creates memories from the moment you step inside.

The 140-seat theater is conveniently located adjacent to the Basalt Rock Café. This diverse space can accommodate anything from a film premiere to a training summit, yet it is intimate enough to gather your family for a slideshow. The elevated stage allows the speaker or performer to be easily visible. The M.J. Murdock Theater is the only one in the entire Columbia Gorge available for both public and private use.

Basalt Rock Café

The Basalt Rock Café’s wall of windows, lofty ceilings, and patio, which can be open air or fully enclosed, make it the perfect space for hosting your next event.  This space can be easily configured whether you are planning an intimate luncheon, dinner, meetings, and celebrations from bridal showers to retirement parties for 115 guests. Our experienced event and catering staff will take care of all the details.

Classroom

The Classroom offers a view of the pond with two sets of double doors that lead right to our paved walking trail. This versatile, light-filled space is perfect for presentations, meetings, and trainings.
