Apples and Ancestry: Japanese American Heritage in the Gorge
A two-day celebration of the people, orchards, and stories that helped shape the Columbia Gorge.
September 25-26
Featuring:
• A OPB short documentary screening
• A special presentation by historian Linda Tamura (Friday at 6pm)
• Kiyokawa Orchard apples and fruit for tasting and purchase
Learn how Japanese American families helped build the Hood River Valley, endured wartime incarceration, and returned to create a lasting legacy that continues today.
