Students ages 5 to 9 years of age will learn about native plants and animals through science, theater and art. They will get to choose a favorite wild animal, like raccoon, coyote, beaver, snake, eagle, then learn about each animal’s habitat. Through storytelling and puppet theater, children will connect with the role of wild animals in Native American mythology. Students will learn how to identify and care for native plants and how animals use plants for nests and burrows. Fun hands-on activities include helping with planting native flora and learning how to weave a tule mat. Snacks provided.
