Reservations: Please arrange two weeks in advance.
Cost: For self-guided tours, admission charge is $3.00 per student & chaperone; teachers & bus drivers free.
For interpretive tours with educational programs, the fee is $5.00 per student & chaperone; teachers & bus drivers free. Additional fees may apply, depending on the hours required and number of students.

Cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, and purchase orders are accepted.
Time: Self-guided tours of exhibits and films take 1-2 hours. Be sure to include enough extra time for your group to eat lunch and participate in any additional planned curriculum and activities you would like to incorporate into the day.
Chaperone/Student Ratio: 1:5 for grades K-8, 1:10 for grades 9-12.

Take I-84 to Exit 82, turn right on the Historic Columbia River Highway (Hwy 30), follow for 1.5 miles, turn right at the sign on Discovery Drive and follow to the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center.
Bus Parking is available.
Hours of Operation
9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week.
The museum is closed New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
Basalt Rock Café
Reservation arrangements for lunch in the Basalt Rock Café can be made for groups of 10 or more by calling 541-296-8600 ext. 202.
For groups who prefer to bring their own sack lunches, there are picnic tables available outside the museum. Hot and cold beverages are available for sale.
Columbia River Trading Co.
The museum store has many educational books, games and toys geared for young children to adults. Be sure to allow a little time for shopping at the Columbia River Trading Co.
