Admission to Columbia Gorge Discovery Center & Museum
As the official interpretive center for the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, our mission is to inspire appreciation and stewardship of the Columbia River Gorge and Wasco County. The price of admission allows you the opportunity to explore 40 million years of geologic history, 10,000 years of native cultural history, and over 200 years of modern history through interactive multimedia exhibits. Time travel was never easier!
Exhibits include Ice Age, Lewis & Clark, the Oregon Trail, Native American Culture, and the Wasco County History Museum. We also offer a Live Raptor Program (please call for the current schedule).
You don’t need to pay admission to enjoy the Basalt Rock Cafe and visit the Columbia River Trading Co. museum store, where you will find a wide selection of local history books, educational toys and games, regional wine, artisan jewelry, and fantastic art.
Amenities include a 144-seat theater, free public Wi-Fi, access to outdoor paved walking nature trails, and a large parking lot to accommodate large groups, tour buses, and RVs.
There is never an admission charge to visit the Columbia River Trading Company.
