After researching your selected medical scenario, DIAGNOSE the problem and
develop a TREATMENT plan, based on the medical technology available during
the time of the Lewis and Clark Expedition.
-
COMPARE the treatments available to the men of the Lewis and Clark Expedition
with modern treatments for the same medical problem.
-
TAKE NOTES on your scenario, diagnosis, treatment, and comparison to help you
prepare for the next step. You may use the NOTES guide to help you organize
your information.
-
After completing your research, prepare a PRESENTATION which illustrates
- the symptoms of your selected medical challenge
- possible diagnoses and treatments based on medical knowledge of the time
- the diagnosis and treatment option your team decided upon
- the results of that course of action.
Your presentation
could take the form of a short drama, a fictional story, a display board, a class
presentation, a journal of the ill or injured Corps member, or other product
approved by your teacher.
