Join us in achieving our mission to inspire
appreciation and stewardship of the Columbia River Gorge and Wasco County. The Columbia
Gorge Discovery Center relies on grants and donations to meet expenses for educational
programming, exhibits, collections preservation, research, and operations. Your tax
deductible donations are an investment in the preservation of local and regional history
and the educational reach of our programs. Donations may be made to further your special
area of interest. For instance, you can support an exhibit, facilitate collections
care, sponsor a fundraising event to increase the impact of your donation, or support
a particular research initiative. Gifts may be made in memorial of a loved one, or
through the Leave a Legacy planned giving program. A new opportunity offered through
Oregon Cultural Trust provides significant tax advantages to donors who give to a
charitable organization in addition to the Trust. We welcome the opportunity to discuss
your personal interests in furthering the mission of the Columbia Gorge Discovery
Center, an investment in the future.

Join us as a museum volunteer
Visitors from around the world experience natural and cultural history in an interactive
way at the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center. From exhibit interpreters to backstage
administrative help, the Center's volunteers are invaluable in fulfilling our mission.
To be a volunteer it requires dedication and motivation as well as time and effort.
Many people bring skills and expertise with them, however such knowledge is not required
to join us as a volunteer. All you really need is a willingness to learn and a desire
to work with people and help them understand and appreciate our region, past and present.
Volunteers experience lifelong learning and establish lasting friendships at our facility, which is the official
interpretive center of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area.
